SolidNav has announced the company's official product awareness initiatives for bringing clean technology to the marine industry.
As part of the company's official outreach program, SolidNav is introducing its "green" product line-up that includes the marine industries first American-made electric motor for sailboats and small watercraft — the SolidNav Traveler and the SolidNav Explorer.
"The marine industry has often been passed by with regards to identifying new alternative energy sources. At SolidNav, our main objective is to identify and apply engineering expertise to building climate-friendly forms of marine propulsion," said Jason Russell, president of SolidNav.
"Our products are not only available today, but they are more reliable, cost effective and cleaner than traditional diesel- or gas-powered engines."
SolidNav began its research and development processes on its electric technology in 2005. Over the past three years the company has worked to develop the Traveler and Explorer, which officially went on sale in 2008.
