The third space tourist, Gregory Olsen, will fly in Russia's Soyuz spacecraft to the International Space Station in October, a spokesman for the Federal Space Agency (Roskosmos), Vyacheslav Davidenko, has told Itar-Tass.
"A contract between Olsen and Roskosmos has been signed lately, and the American tourist has been approved as a member of the ninth visiting mission to the ISS," he told Itar-Tass on Wednesday.
Olsen trained for a space mission in the Star City outside Moscow last year, but was then sidelined for medical contraindications.
