Integral Systems has been won a contract from Orbital Sciences to provide the Ground Control System (GCS) for the Broadcasting Satellite System Corporation's BSat-2 program. BSat-2 will provide direct digital television to Japan.

This contract award demonstrates Integral Systems' ability to integrate and deliver timely, competitive commercial ground systems to the global space industry.

Orbital is delivering two satellites on orbit for the BSat-2 mission. They will be launched in October 2000 and June 2001 into the same geosynchronous slot.

Under this contract, Integral Systems will provide the complete software and hardware solution for the Main GCS in Kawaguchi, Japan, and a backup GCS in Kimitsu, Japan, plus the software and computers for Orbital's Mission Control Center in their Dulles, VA facility. Additionally, Integral Systems will provide command and control systems to support the two spacecraft's ground integration and test.

The BSat-2 GCS will incorporate all elements of Integral Systems' EPOCH 2000 product line, providing complete real-time command and control, orbital analysis and maneuver planning, and offline trending functions.

Integral Systems has also supplied satellite ground systems to NASA, NOAA, the U.S. Air Force, the U.S. Navy, the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, Loral Skynet, Echostar, GE Americom, ChinaSat, EOSAT, Alcatel, TRW, the Republic of China (ROCSAT), Shinawatra, and others.
