Arrow Electronics has signed an exclusive agreement with Qualified Parts Laboratory to provide a unique Diminished Manufacturing Sources (DMS) solution to military and aerospace customers.

As part of this industry-first solution, Arrow/Zeus will help finance the purchase and build-out of original manufacturer discontinued parts. This type of solution has never been previously offered through the electronics distribution channel.

"We are strengthening our commitment to the military and aerospace customer with an industry-leading approach to managing DMS issues," explained Sean Fernandez, president of Arrow/Zeus.

John Stannard, president of Qualified Parts Laboratory (QP LABS), said, "Our agreement is customer-oriented in terms of assured source, quick availability and reduced cost to the customer; it is government supportive, in terms of addressing the DMS issues currently faced by many military and agency programs."

This agreement gives Arrow/Zeus an offering to complete the entire design, pre-production, production and obsolescence product life cycle. "We are uniquely positioned to offer a complete, one-stop-shop solution," stated Craig Whitelock, Arrow/Zeus' vice president of product marketing. He added, "Our goal is to increase customer satisfaction through this never before realized business model."

Qualified Parts Laboratory will offer fully qualified QML products under the Qualified Parts Laboratory trademark and Arrow/Zeus will be the company's exclusive distribution channel.
