The death toll from a landslide in northern China rose to 41 after rescuers found 12 bodies on Monday, state media reported.
Four people remain missing from the disaster, which happened in Sigou village in Shanxi province on August 1, the official Xinhua news agency said.
The landslide occurred in an iron ore mining area, and it was difficult to know the number of missing since many of the victims were migrants and had not registered with local officials.
More than 6,500 people with digging equipment have been searching for the victims, according to Jing Dekui, deputy head of Loufan county, told Xinhua.
The government has offered compensation to families of the victims and others affected by the landslide.
