Mars orbiter resumes science operationsPasadena, Calif. (UPI) Dec 16, 2009 NASA says its Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter's six science instruments resumed operations Wednesday after being suspended since an Aug. 26 computer reset. Pasadena, Calif. (UPI) Dec 9, 2009 NASA technicians say they have taken the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter out of the precautionary "safe mode" it has been in since August. That procedure was the latest step in a series of commands designed to allow the orbiter to resume science operations next week, NASA said.
